GP Misano (P2) Great qualifying for Cristian (2nd on the grid) and a good start to the race just behind his brother Adrian. From the 1st lap Cristian felt a bit uncomfortable with the track conditions and the bike set-up. This had an impact on his chances
GP Philip (P2) After a good start, Cristian was stuck in a similar situation as in Misano, behind his brother in 2nd place. But the bike set-up and feeling was much better at this circuit, allowing him to fight for the race win against Adrian Sanchez. Cristian tried to overtake on the last laps, but defensive lines from Adrian made it impossible.
Cristian Sanchez (Suzuki Ecstar Esports Rider): “The Championship won’t be easy but I’m happy with my current position. I will give my absolute all to try and win the last 2 races of the season and increase my chances to win the title, but it will be hard to beat Adrian since he has been demonstrating great consistency and results since Round 1”
Javier Guerra (Suzuki Ecstar Esports Team Manager): “Cristian is showing great form since the beginning of the championship. And although we’re down a few points due to a difficult start to the season, Cristian has recovered well in the other rounds and he is now fighting for the championship in the final Round. We have to agree that Adrian did a better job being on the podium all races and winning 5/6 races, but I know Cristian will fight until the last corner of the last race.”
