MOTOGP ESPORT ROUND 2: GERMANY & AUSTRIA

MotoGP eSports – Suzuki PR (Round 2)

SACHSENRING QUALIFYING

“My initial sensations were not the best, but P6 is not so bad considering the feeling I had”

SACHSENRING RACE

Good start for Cristian, who was 4th during the first laps following the riders in front but, unfortunately, when he got to P2, he fell due to a mistake. After that, the feelings were not very positive, but he finished in seventh place.

AUSTRIA QUALIFYING

“In Austria I felt incredibly good from the start” Cristian said. He managed to do a great starting lap, was even able to improve a few more tenths but he couldn’t improve his fastest time due to a small mistake on the following lap.

AUSTRIA RACE

“My pace was good enough to fight for the victory.” Cristian confirmed. The Spaniard’s race start was OK, he held onto the first position, but unfortunately went wide at Turn 4; not a usual mistake at this corner as the riders need to brake very early. Cristian went all the way to the grass and dropped one place, back to third. But he was determined to fight back and go after the win.
“I was able to recover the second position but I had a big gap to the winner. My pace was fast, but not enough to fight for the win. If the previous results had been better, I could have risked more, but I wanted to get a solid podium.”

In general, I am 3 points closer to the leader, but these are not the expected results, we have already lost two clear chances of victory, so we will have to improve to fight for our goal.- Cristian Sanchez

CRISTIAN SANCHEZ - Team Suzuki Ecstar eSports Rider

“In general, I am 3 points closer to the leader, but these are not the expected results, we have already lost two clear chances of victory, so we will have to improve to fight for our goal.”

JAVIER GUERRA - eSports Team Manager

“Every race, every position, and every point counts in this championship. We can now celebrate the first podium of the season, but I know Cristian is hungry to get some victories as soon as possible. There are two more rounds left and, as we have seen previously, anything can happen, and Cristian is still in the fight.”
