ROUND 3 – RACE 5 (Philip Island) AND RACE 6 (Misano)
GP Philip Island (P8)
Qualifying: The feelings in the qualifying session were very positive, Cristian managed to complete one of the best laps at this track, and he felt confident to improve it even more. P4 for him was a good position considering a slight mistake which cost him around 1 tenth or a bit more in the last corner, which then impacted his drive onto the straight. “I knew I could fight for the victory from that position or, at least, for the podium” – Cristian said after a satisfying qualifying session.
Race: The race started well, although in the first corners Cristian decided not to attack and keep the position, since he felt very comfortable on this circuit when behind another rider. However, Cristian was involved in someone else’s crash and he went down while trying to avoid the accident: “I lost the position and the option to make a good result, but I managed to gain back 3 positions after the crash, but P8 is not the position we deserved for this race”. Cristian managed to match the pace, his being very similar to the winner’s. “Glad we had the speed to fight for everything” – Cristian mentioned despite the result.
GP Misano (P3)
Qualifying: A challenge race for everyone which affected Cristian’s feelings since the previous game configuration failed the day before which meant Cristian had to get used to a new bike in a very short time, but luckily, the bike responded well and he was fighting for pole position. Just like in the Philip Island qualifying session, Cristian made a mistake in the last corner and finished 0,033 from taking pole. “I had the speed to fight for the top” he said.
Race: A decent start meant Cristian managed to gain a position in the first corners. “During the first laps I was very comfortable, and I approached Adrián to try to overtake”. Cristian went wide in turn 1 and lost a few tenths so he had no option but to try and recover. From lap 5 Cristian felt a bit uncomfortable and, to be safe, he decided to settle for 3rd and bring another podium back home. “I had the confidence to try to fight for the victory once again” commented the Spaniard.

Cristian Sanchez (Suzuki Ecstar Esports Rider):
“Regarding the rounds in general, on one hand I am happy because the speed and feeling were there! This year, except in one circuit, we have had the pace to fight for the win, but I am disappointed with my current position in the championship standings as I could be higher up. This year has been a challenging one so far and we've been unlucky a few times”
“I hope to get the best possible result, which is none other than trying to win both races in the final round. Rivals can also fail and give me an opportunity to be back in the fight. I am confident that I will have the speed to fight in both races and I hope to be lucky this time. We will do our best to finish the championship in the best possible position”
Javier Guerra (Suzuki Ecstar Esports Team Manager):
“Three challenging rounds where Cristian managed to get a few podiums. We are in a tough position for the championship but, as Cristian said, we are all positive to keep fighting in the final round. It’s still not confirmed whether this will take place on site in Valencia, and if so, we know what Cristian is capable of in these high pressure events”.
